Chiliz unveils new Web3-enabled Socios.com Wallet: the next phase in Fan Token utility

The new wallet will provide over 2 million global users with direct ownership and control of their Fan Tokens.

The non-custodial wallet will simultaneously empower developers on the Chiliz Chain by providing fans with a single point of access to interact with the growing Chiliz ecosystem – all from their phones. 

The wallet will be introduced in phases, starting with essential features before adding advanced capabilities and enhanced token support.

Madrid,  November 14th 2024:— Chiliz Group, the creator of Fan Tokens and the Chiliz Chain, is taking a new step in its mission to enhance fan engagement in sports with the introduction of the new Web3-enabled Socios.com Wallet for 2.3 million Socios.com users,1 the firm’s flagship D2C platform. The upgrade will empower users with direct ownership and control over their Fan Tokens while giving them a consolidated entry point to the Chiliz ecosystem.

The new Socios.com Wallet will grant fans greater control of their digital assets while unlocking new possibilities for developers within the Chiliz Chain ecosystem. Through a built-in “Browser” (available in an update after the initial release) users will be able to immediately access decentralized applications (dApps) built on the Chiliz chain such as fantasy sports games, sports prediction platform, cross-chain bridging tools and  DEXs, with new dApps being continually added to the growing library.

From white-labeled fan experiences to Web3 games and DeFi staking protocols, developers building on the Chiliz Chain will be able to host their dApp in an enclosed Web3 ecosystem purpose-built to reach an engaged audience of both sporting brands and fans through the new Socios.com Wallet.
