DENTNet Expands Domestically, Joins Forces with FACTBLOCK as Validator
The global eSIM-based mobile operator ‘DENT’ announced that ‘FACTBLOCK’, a leading web3 ecosystem builder in South Korea, has joined its proprietary blockchain mainnet ‘DENTNet’ as a validator.
DENT provides global mobile roaming services. Leveraging its own blockchain and eSIM technology, DENT aims to improve and automate communication processes, revolutionizing the global mobile roaming industry and establishing a unique global ecosystem to become a true global mobile operator. DENT’s goal is to offer a single eSIM that allows users to easily purchase and use data worldwide without the need to switch eSIMs by country.
The addition of FACTBLOCK as a validator is expected to further expand the global scale of the DENTNet ecosystem. FACTBLOCK has earned trust from communities and partners through its stable operations and transparent validation processes as a validator in various projects. Since 2018, FACTBLOCK has contributed to the development of the blockchain industry in South Korea by hosting the annual ‘Korea Blockchain Week (KBW)’.
In March, DENT launched its own mainnet, DENTNet, and has been focusing on expanding its ecosystem combining mobile services and blockchain. DENTNet offers various services such as a global marketplace for mobile data trading, staking, and validator rewards. Mobile operators can easily verify transaction records through DENTNet.
DENT has introduced a new token, DENTX, which can be staked on DENTNet. DENTX tokens can be exchanged for DENT tokens on the DENTNet dashboard, and users can stake the exchanged DENTX to receive rewards. DENT tokens, the core of DENT’s mobile data ecosystem, are ERC-20 based tokens issued in 2017 and traded on major exchanges, including the domestic exchange Upbit.
Additionally, through the DENT App available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, users can purchase global eSIM mobile data packages usable in over 85 countries. The DENT App offers various features such as a mobile data marketplace, Local Breakout (LBO), and single eSIM functionality.
Tero Katajainen, co-founder of DENT, expressed his excitement, stating, "We are very pleased to have FACTBLOCK, with its node expertise, join DENTNet as a validator. Since the product launch in 2017, we are proud to receive such significant support in Korea. We will continue to actively expand the DENTNet ecosystem, including the DENTX token, through collaboration with various partners in the telecommunications and blockchain industries.
