TOKEN2049 is one of the most highly anticipated events in the Web3 calendar, and people come to it expecting a lot. This year, Tezos elevated its presence with three major side events, two impressive booths highlighting Tezos and Etherlink, and a keynote address by Tezos co-founder Arthur Breitman.
From September 18-20, key Tezos ecosystem contributors—including TZ APAC, Nomadic Labs, Trilitech, and Tezos Commons—came together to reinforce Tezos’ leadership in shaping the future of blockchain. Here’s a closer look at the standout moments from TOKEN2049 in Singapore:
The Tezos booth: A gateway to the blockchain future
Tezos was represented via a prominent booth at TOKEN2049, allowing attendees to engage with ecosystem members, explore various projects, and learn about the latest advancements in blockchain technology.
The booth was a direct link to Tezos’ innovative spirit, attracting a diverse audience interested in learning about Tezos projects and partnership opportunities. It also became a popular stop for attendees looking to snag some exclusive Tezos swag.
‘Opening a New Frontier’ with Arthur Breitman
At the conference, Tezos co-founder Arthur Breitman delivered a compelling keynote titled “Tezos X: Opening a New Frontier for All Developers” at the Zeebu Stage. His talk explored the future of Tezos and its pivotal role in exploring new avenues for blockchain development. The presentation was a significant highlight, capturing the attention of developers and investors, and will soon be available on the Tezos YouTube channel.
Etherlink: Showcasing Tezos’ EVM-compatibility
Tezos-powered Smart Rollup Etherlink made a notable impact at the conference. The Etherlink booth, hosted by prominent ecosystem contributors, attracted a constant flow of visitors eager to learn about Tezos’ first EVM-compatible Smart Rollup, which opens the door for Solidity developers to build on Tezos. This introduction of EVM compatibility marks a major milestone in realizing the vision of Tezos X.

In addition to the main conference, Tezos community members organized several side events that allowed participants to dive deeper into the ecosystem.
Stepping into the Tezos Realm at CHIJMES Hall
One of the standout attractions at TOKEN2049 was Tezos Realm, a unique evening event hosted by TZ APAC at the historic CHIJMES Hall. This immersive experience featured an interactive labyrinth with discovery zones representing Tezos’ key verticals, guiding attendees to a vibrant lounge and networking area.
A fully immersive experience, attendees were able to explore the latest developments across culture, DeFi, and gaming within the Tezos ecosystem Amongst the projects on display was Battlerise, which showcased their innovative rogue-like RPG game, which utilizes Tezos, to many interested players.
Visitors interacted with 14 cutting-edge projects, met innovative builders, learned about their projects, earned cool rewards, and took part in live minting.
One of the highlights of Tezos Realm was its celebration of digital art. Objkt, Tezos’ largest digital art marketplace, showcased ten works by leading artists from the APAC region, including Choen Lee, Bjorn Calleja, ʀɪɴɪɪғɪsʜ, CEZXR, Zhou Zeliang, Salawaki 3003, MEK.txt, Jakestudyos, and baiwei.eth. Attendees participated in Objkt’s interactive quest to win ‘A Lonely Night,’ an exclusive artwork by Adul.
Renowned digital artist Agoria headlined the event with a live DJ set and surprised attendees with a timed open edition artwork titled {Compend-AI 2049}, available for exploration on Objkt.
Tesserart, a Tezos-native platform for live artwork minting, showcased Formica by Alvis Lee. This generative art piece, inspired by natural flows and created through programmed mathematics, was live-minted on the Tezos blockchain.
Tezos Realm attracted a large crowd with many high-profile guests, including Sebastien Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox, and gmoney, founder of 9dcc. Many attendees took to Twitter to share their excitement for the experience, including Jean-Michel Pailhon, co-founder of Grail Capital, Fabian Vogelsteller, co-founder of Lukso, and Aleksandra Art (Head of Art, Trilitech).
The Rollup Day
Several hundred participants gathered for Zeeve’s The Rollup Day, an exciting and insightful day dedicated to one of the most transformative innovations in blockchain technology—Rollups. The event brought together startups, enterprises, developers, investors, and blockchain enthusiasts to explore decentralized applications. With 27 expert speakers and 25 VIPs, it fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas and expertise.
The highlight of the Rollup Day was a fireside chat between Thomas Abraham (Zeeve CRO) and Siddharth Singhal (Trilitech Head of Business Development). They discussed the future of rollups in blockchain, attracting a large crowd eager to learn about blockchain scalability solutions.
CryptoCarnival: A vibrant night of celebration
CryptoCarnival, sponsored by Etherlink, was a lively festival-themed celebration honoring the anniversaries of Trust Wallet (7 years), CoinMarketCap (11 years), and 1inch (5 years). This event brought together the crypto community in a lively atmosphere, marking these key achievements in the blockchain space.
The unique event featured engaging fireside chats, exclusive updates, limited-edition merchandise, and an energetic party atmosphere, creating an unforgettable experience for over 700 attendees.
