While the European Central Bank (ECB) aims to stimulate the economy and encourage investment and growth with accommodative monetary policy, interest rates are on a downward trajectory and will remain so, with the current rate at 2%.
As a result, traditional regulated savings will no longer offer attractive returns under these circumstances.
The conclusion is simple: it is no longer possible today to achieve real returns with traditional investments, which are often partly invested in regulated vehicles. The returns on these vehicles struggle to exceed 3% to 5% on average.
